What is PlanetBids?


PlanetBids sole mission since its beginning, February 2000, has been to connect buyers and suppliers efficiently and cost effectively. It currently provides two types of memberships to suppliers: Basic or VendorLine membership, where Basic membership is free to register but VendorLine membership has a nominal annual subscription fee. It provides two membership/services to Buyers: Basic Membership or BidsOnline, where Basic is Free to Buyers but BidsOnline has a fee.


What is BidsOnline?


"BidsOnline" is our premier Vendor and Bid Management System. When adopted by the purchasing department of a public agency it allows Buyers, Procurement and Contracts Departments, from any public agency to properly manage constant changes of bidding information online while enhancing Client's Website. From vendor registration to e-Commerce/e-Bidding, BidsOnline enhances customer relationships, and greatly improves business efficiency.


What is VendorLine?


VendorLine is the latest service launced at PlanetBids. VendorLine connects public buyers and vendors efficiently and cost effectively. VendorLine includes all the benefits of Basic membership and much more. Be sure to visit VendorLine for complete benefits.


Who can use PlanetBids?

Anyone interested in increasing bidding opportunity, further exposing their business, or connecting with the right suppliers will benefit from becoming a member at PlanetBids.

 

Who is a Buyer?

A Buyer is anyone who needs services or supplies related to any category  A Buyer could be anyone looking for particular good(s) or service(s). A bid request can be placed by any Basic member or a BidsOnline buyer from a public agency (i.e. City, County, Educational Institution, etc.)

 

Who is a Supplier?

A Supplier is anyone or any business who can provide a Buyer with the services or supplies requested relating to any category.

 

How do I register?

Registering is fast and easy.  Just click on Register Now! and fill out your information only ONCE.  During registration, you will also be asked to choose a username and password.  Make sure you keep your username and password in a safe but accessible place.

 

What do I do if I forget my password?

Go to the home page and click on Forgot Password? and you will receive an email automatically.

 

Is there a fee to register to use PlanetBids for the Buyers and Suppliers?

Basic Membership: There is no fee to register with PlanetBids as a Basic Member. Buyers can submit their Bid Requests at no cost. Suppliers are charged a small fee of $10 or $20 when they wish to Respond to a Bid Request or wish to "Contact Buyer". Please refer to our user agreement under Fees and Payments for further pricing detail.

VendorLine Membership: There is an annual fee of $199.00 for VendorLine Membership.

 

Is there a fee to submit a bid or quote request as a Buyer?

No, submitting a Bid Request to PlanetBids is FREE! However, if you receive 5 or more Bid Responses from Suppliers through PlanetBids and you decide not to select any of the suppliers after 15 days from bid submission, then a small fee is applied. Please refer to our user agreement under Fees and Payments for further pricing detail.  

 

Is there a refund policy for Suppliers?

There are no refunds offered at PlanetBids for any transaction that has been completed by a registered member successfully.

 

Can I change my account information?

To change your account information, click on My PB Account on the side navigation box and click on My Profile and you can edit any of the fields you would like to.

 

How can I reach Customer Service at PlanetBids?

To reach a Customer Service, click on Customer Service on the top navigation bar, and proceed accordingly.

 

What do I do if I have a billing question?

Click on Customer Service on the top navigation bar and click on billing@planetbids.com.
